buying a car

i was talking to car salesman and while i was waiting for them to pull up the car i was going to test-drive, he says he has a customer in the other room who bought the same car a month ago that i could talk to if i wanted. i said sure since i was waiting anyway.

i was asking the dude about the car, even though i knew his opinion would probably mean nothing since i'm pretty picky about cars. this dude was more of a girl than i am. he was like "well first off, what color are you getting?!" i explained that color doesn't matter to me since i can't see it while i'm driving. i was asking about visibility and blind spots and that made him talk about how the car bounces up with him when he goes over a speed bump. I think it's pretty normal for a car to have shocks. I was just sitting there laughing to myself about how trivial the information was he was telling me.

That's what pissed me off about the car salesman. After spending 30 minutes with me, did he really think I would want to talk to that dude about the color of the car?

Buying a car is really weird. I've always known that car salesmen are all about just trying to sell the car and sell it now. Duh. But I've never experienced it. They are sly little foxes. How many times do I have to tell you I don't care about color for you to stop trying to get me excited about the car coming in sky blue? First, I don't want a sky blue. I'd prefer white or black. Second, and for the last time, I don't care about color! Give me a good car!

A coworker of mine, Nada, always says something when she sees me eating red peppers at work (which is pretty often). She said I'm one of the only people in America she's seen that eats raw red peppers all the time. Maybe it IS odd, but I'm on one of my kicks.

She brought these to me from her brother's farm today! I am currently eating one and it is absolutely delicious! It is the second best red pepper I've ever had...even though this is some kind of red/green hybrid.

The best pepper I ever had was from the man by Turkey Run State Park from whom we bought firewood. He just handed me half of a pepper he just cut up with his pocket knife and told me to take a bite out of it. He promised that it would be the best pepper I ever had. I explained that he was absolutely right since I had never eaten a raw red bell pepper before. But to this day he's still right.

Dear diary, don't tell anyone...but I love red bell peppers.
